The Location: Belle Isle Park
Belle Isle is the ideal location for This is How We Roll™ event. It is a popular summer location for family gatherings, the Budweiser Thunder fest Hydroplane Races, and offers a wonderful backdrop to watch the annual fireworks display and was the site of the Detroit Grand Prix for several years until 2001. This is How We Roll™ event will be held at the western tip of Belle Isle, the location of the former Grand Prix Race Course.
This is How We Roll™ shall take place at Belle Isle, a Detroit jewel. Being an island, it is surrounded by the lovely water of the Detroit River, which is a strait connecting Lake to St. Clair and Lake Erie in the Great Lakes. Beautiful features, such as the Scott Fountain and the Conservatory, flock the island. The Detroit Yacht Club and the Belle Isle Casino are also present. Deer are present on the island, and "the island" itself is a series of individual islands connected by lovely bridges. Belle Isle is a 962 acre park located amid the Detroit River. The Park is conveniently located 5 miles from downtown Detroit and has numerous attractions which include: the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, the Detroit Yacht Club, sports fields, fishing piers, beaches, a golf course, and woods full of wildlife. Also located at Belle Isle is The Nature Center, the oldest public aquarium in North America, the Safari Land Zoo and the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory.
